Lawson Home Services conducted a routine annual crawlspace maintenance on this home in Townsend, DE. It is important homeowners follow up inspections and service on equipment and installed measures in the crawlspace. Two very important things that were done during this inspection was:

  1. Servicing the Sedona SaniDry, which includes cleaning the pre-filter and replacing the the pleated filter. The unit is checked to ensure proper functioning. Condensate hoses are cleaned and replaced as necessary to ensure the moisture the unit is extracting from the air gets pumped into the sump. 
  2. Servicing the sump pump and components, which includes cleaning the sump liner, checking the pump and system inlet for blockages, testing the alarm and changing the battery, inspecting the pressure relief system, and testing the pump and switch for proper functioning.

Failure to perform regular annual inspection will eventually have its consequences. If either the dehumidifier or sump systems fail, the crawlspace could be flooded resulting in mold growth, and other possible damage to HVAC equipment and expensive repair bills.
